Dear Parents/ Carers,

 

I would like to inform you that the decision has been made to Close Otterton school today, Thursday 2nd November. We have not made this decision lightly and we delayed the decision to be able to factor in all risks. 

 

Due to the amount of rainfall, it is not advised to travel. The rain is due to continue and the river Otter is already very high and due to hit high tide later this morning. Therefore the road into Otterton is likely to be unpassable.

 

I understand and appreciate that school closures can cause difficulties for many, espcially those who are still having to work. 

 

For this reason, we will not be setting seperate home learning for the children today. However we would like the children to use this time to carry on with their current reading, log on to Times Table Rockstars and access any spellings they have been set for this week. There are a wide variety of resources your child can access from home and a list of ideas will be put on your child's class page, as an optional list of tasks.
