Collective Worship

At Otterton C of E Primary School, we meet daily for an act of Collective Worship (CW), which provides an opportunity to reflect and express the Christian ethos of our school. This time is cherished amongst pupils and staff.

We are wonderfully fortunate because we have fortnightly Collective Worships led by Reverand Martin, who serves the Raleigh Mission Community and has been part of our school community for many years. An important part of our school is the close links to our Church, St Michael's. Located next door to our school, means it is used frequently and children attend Church weekly. We have The Open the Book team visit us fortnightly at St Michael's Church, which is a true highlight for the children. They become immersed in Bible Stories, as the dedicated team draw them in and bring the stories to life. Another element of our Collective Worships are those led by our Pupil Ethos Group (PEG). A dedicated group of children who plan and lead various Collective Worships throughout the year. These children strive to support spiritual development in all and play a big part in creating Reflection Areas across the school for all to interact with in their chosen way.
