Spirituality

Spirituality

At Otterton C of E Primary School, we define spirituality as:

‘An awareness of our connection with ourselves, others, the world and beyond.’

Spirituality is all around us- you cannot see it, but you can feel it. It’s about taking the time to appreciate the little things, the awe and wonder in the surroundings around us, being curious and asking questions. It is unique to everyone and can be encouraged through our relationships with ourselves, others, the world and beyond.

At Otterton, we strive to recognise, share, and celebrate spirituality, giving children the time, space and encouragement needed to enable their spirituality to flourish.

Here are some ways in which the children of Otterton School celebrate Spiritualty.

A BIG thank you to Bridge Books, for a delivery of wonderful Christian Books.

As a staff team we set aside time to reflect and one way we do this is to use these 'Pause for thought' videos provided by The Exeter Diocese Team. We use them during staff meetings and they are shared with staff, so they have the opportunity to be inspired, supported and spiritually nourished within our school community and into their own lives.
